Ashgate Publishing, 1998. 278pp. ＋Index、ISBN1-84014-282-0、Price ？         今夏（2000年）のHABでのセミナー参加時の収穫物です。Johann Moriaen （1591-1668） は、これまで全く無名の人物だったのですが、本書は、17世紀英国のハートリーブ・サークルと大陸の関係やカルヴァン主義と科学、医学と錬金術、コメニウスの汎知論、グラウバーなどに関心のある人にお薦めです。Hartlib Paper のCD−RROM化の影響で、その内容が研究し易くなった具体的な一例です。僕もまだ味読ですが、寝かしておくのももったいないので、取り敢えず、内容だけ紹介しておきます。いちいち訳しませんが、これを見て本書の重要性の分かる人には分かると思います。
