『初期近代ローマの科学文化』

 

 

 

 

ローマのラ・サピエンツィア、パリのコイレ研究所、ロンドンのヴァールブルグ研究所共催による、初期近代ローマにおける科学文化についての国際会議が、2003年10月10-11日に、ロンドンのヴァールブルグ研究所で開かれます。僕も、「新たに（無から）か、種子からか：キルヒャーと自然発生の問題」　“De novo” or “ex semine” : Kircher and the Problem of Spontaneous Generation という論題で土曜日の実験文化のセッションで３０分の発表をします。

会議開催までの道のり

2003. 6. 16 月

　 今年10月10-11日に、ロンドンのヴァールブルグ研究所で行われる国際会議「初期近代ローマの科学文化」のスケジュールが少し分かりました。僕は無理を言って、順番を土曜日に替えてもらい、実験文化というセッションで「新たにか、種子からか：キルヒャーと自然発生の問題について」　“De novo” ou “ex semine” : Kircher et le problème de la génération spontanée という論題で30分の発表をします。ヴェローナの発表時間が、15分ということになったので、こちらの準備に時間が多く割けるようになりました。でも、この夏はちょっと忙しくなりそうです。取り敢えず準備もかねて、例のごとく専用頁を作りたいと思います。これで、一般受けのするキルヒャーの専用コーナーが出来たことにもなるので、新たな訪問者の方々が現れることを期待します！

 

2003. 7. 8 火

これから３ヶ月はキルヒャーに集中したいと思います。まずは研究所から、『結合された世界：アタナシウス・キルヒャーに見るバロック普遍科学の構造について』 Thomas Leinkauf, Mundus combinatus : Studien zur Struktur der barocken Universalwissenschaft am Beispiel Athanasius Kirchers SJ (1602-1680), Berlin, Akademie Verlag, 1993 を借りて来ました。前からずっと目を通さなければ思っていた一冊です。

 

　 と、同時にキルヒャーのテクストの読みを始めました。まずは言葉使いのクセに慣れることから入ります。
