これは、最も権威ある科学史雑誌
Isis に載った初期近代のヨーロッパ科学について扱った論文からベストと言えるようなオリジナル論考を集めたコンピレーションです。あれも、これも、すごかったなと前に読んで思った論文たちが一堂に会しています。基本的に殆ど読んであるから放っておいた本なのですが、ＢＨ訪問者に紹介しておくべき一品ではあるかと思います。付録の初期近代関係の論文一覧表は便利です。
