これは、1994年のイスラエルは Haifa で行われた国際会議での発表を下に編集された重要な論集です。取り敢えず、速報として内容を紹介します。各論文は短めですが、ヴァラエティーに富んだ話題提供を実現しています。また、普段見なれない（おそらくユダヤ系の）寄稿者名が目立つことも特徴です。英文（15本）・仏文（5本）の論文で占められています。一応、人文主義、哲学、パラケルスス主義などとカテゴリー分けされていますが、それには全く関係ないと言って良いほどいろいろ交じり合ってます。まさにデカルト以前の思考体系です。
