ヨーロッパ近代精神史において、特にその政治哲学とデモノロジーで有名なジャン・ボダン（1530-1596）の第３の主要著作でありながら、これまでほとんど研究されたことのなかった『全自然の劇場』 （Lyon, 1596）をテーマとした研究書です。著者は、ルネサンスの intellectual history の権威となった A.
